Pedestrian hit by TRAX train in Salt Lake City

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (News4Utah) – Utah Transit Authority told TRAX riders to expect delays on all lines due to a collision between a train and a pedestrian Monday afternoon.

UTA officials said a male victim was listening to music as a train was pulling in and he was hit.

The victim was taken to the hospital with critical injuries, but he was alert and speaking to first responders on scene.

1300 South was closed for about an hour and caused some delays for commuters.
